退職する時の挨拶 (2)

これはうちの会社を先日退職した人が、辞める直前に全員宛に送ったメールだ。以前、「退職する時の挨拶」（2008/02/07）で、

私が辞める時には真似させてもらおうと思ったほど。

と書いたが、そう思ったのは私だけではなかったらしい。明らかな影響が見て取れる。それとも、一種の紋切り型として、広く普及している書き方なのだろうか。

Dear All, I wanted to write a quick note to say good bye to everyone, as <<date>> will be my last day with <<company name>>. I have had a wonderful 4 years and I am glad that I have had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful and talented people. It has been my pleasure to know and work with you. I feel that I have become a better person because of you and I thank you for that. I will remember you and I will miss you.

I would like to thank people individually but the list is really very long.

I will take a break for couple of months before I figure out what to do next. If you would like to keep in touch, I may be reached at <<mail adress>>.
